This is Matt's best work with Pearl Jam

MC could relentlessly pound me and that'd be okay.

Need to post this so it doesn't get lost in the other thread during the Stern interview. Never heard this story before, and it is awesome, hilarious, and very rock n roll:

When Matt was 13 or 14, he and some friends were in a Kiss cover band. His dad took them to see the band, they had Kiss outfits and everything. They got to meet the band and showed them pictures of their cover band. A few weeks later, they got a "cease and desist" letter from the band. Matt said they had named their cover band "Kiss". Lol.

After which, if I remember correctly, they were called "Kiss (Imitation)"

Matt's best album with them, from a purely drumming perspective, is Binaural.

Dark Matter is currently my favorite Matt album though.

can just picture the slimy coked up holleywood agent that walked away from that meet and greet and got on the phone to call his grimey attorney and fire the letter out

I can't help but feel that Matt is like an employee in PJ, not a real member.

His multiple songwriting credits and thirty year relationship with the rest of the band suggest otherwise.

Matt Cameron is a fucking beast. His performances on Scared of Fear and Running on stern kind of blew my mind

Not because they are complex drum parts by any means, but they are pretty intense drum songs with some aggressive fills. The impressive thing is....he looks like he's sleeping while he does it. With such ease and technique.

Beautiful
