The best part of that live performance is the tempo not being sped up.

The liftoff/take off portion of the song is great. Sometimes I wonder if he has phrases and sentences in a notebook and he plugs them in where he thinks they fit when he sees a chance to use them. Weird that he uses this combo again so quickly after Invincible. Not complaining. I’m here for both.

Quoting myself from one of the MM threads:
In a shocking revelation, the Stern version confirms it’s Stone playing the beer commercial guitar on Running.Mike kind of ruins GSMF but I still like it.
It's the same default beer commercial bluesy bending intro he does on nearly every fast punky number - he does it on Running too.
Is it meant to be a Social Distortion-type thing?
I don't really know, dad punk is definitely not my thing, but it's both boring and grating.

ha ha, I like that comparison. And, I agree. In a long list of those "throwaway" spritzers, I probably enjoy this one the most. More details of the song keep revealing themselves. I dig it a lot.KurtLeon wrote:This is the best Supersonic that ever Supersonic'ed>
