So, looks like it's Klinghoffer doing the backing vocals? He sounds great.

Loved watching Mike mouth the lyrics along during the chorus too.

Just super glad these guys are all still trucking along, doing their thing. What a great wagon we all hitched our horses to.
I just watched the Daughter performance. I see Mike sitting there with his eyes closed hitting the Em7 or whatever chord in daughter. Im immediately transported 30 years back to watching, over, and over, and over, the SNL performance on Daughter of him doing the same thing.

I can't separate that in my fandom. I dont want to.

Also, they sound great. Man alive. What a fun PJ time.

Could be that suddenly I'm more forgiving, or that they mixed the audio for broadcast -- I don't remember the reverb on Ed's vocal, and it has me kind of wondering if they're using autotune?

Anyone feel like comparing audio from the two and squashing this cockamamied conspiracy theory?
It doesn't matter

Ed doesn't sound great in audio or video to me, exactly the same; band sounds great though, this was an early morning thing, it's not important

I'm sure they mixed it. And PJ clearly had a camera crew there. Stern show doesn't send multiple cameras across the country to film a studio performance. So that is probably what took so long getting them up, the band had control on the final release of it.

The MP3 of the interview was lacking low end in general.

He does sing about the high tide crashing on rocks and castles turning into sand on Got To Give. So there is at least one ocean/beach reference.

I think people have lost sight of what the average person looks like at 60. Ed looks good.

Not only they sound really really tight, they also seem to really connect on a personal level better than ever. They look so happy with each other in these interviews.
