Definitely disagree with you there. Not a big Binaural fan but Light Years is one of my top favorite songs. A couple other decent tracks but not a big fan of the album as a whole. At least it isn’t a major clunker like Lightning Bolt.

I don't know how I rank them but my bottom four is definitely S/T, Backspacer, LB and Gigaton.

Dark Matter is such a welcome return to form, even if some of the songs have less personality than the 2006-2020 material I do connect with (Life Wasted, Severed Hand, Unemployable, GSMF, Just Breathe and The End).

I've never rated No Code, Binaural or Riot Act amongst PJ's best records. They are good, but not great. The great ones for me have always been the first 3. Those are on another level. And then comes Yield which has peaks that reach just as high as any of the first 3 records (GTF, DTE), but overall, is a notch below. I'm rating Dark Matter at joint 4th with Yield for now, even though I think DM is the more consistent album.

B Tier and above have all gotten (or will likely get in Dark Matter's case) serious spinnage, with the exception of Ten, which I haven't had much interest in listening to for well over a decade and a half. I still think it's a great album, and it obviously holds a momentous spot in PJ's discography. I've just always been more into their more experimental, punky, indie-ish sounding stuff, and not really into their anthemic, big set piece dramatic rocker stuff.
