It's okay because the insurrectionists are socialists. Wait, the government is what again?

The Sri Lankan government went all in on banning fertilizer well before the Ukraine war started, so they had some other shit going on and were trying to save money on that particular subsidized item.

The government there went from not long ago defeating the Tamil Tigers to this. Did the foreign aid dry up after the Tigers were no more?

Hasn’t Sri Lanka basically gone bankrupt and is in dire straits?

Ammonium Nitrate and fuel oil might be more relevant to Sri Lanka.

Follow up: Google did have the protesters arrested at the end of the day at multiple locations. Is there any HR wiggle room for not firing employees that you call the cops on?

Is it still a revolutionary act of protest when you set yourself on fire and don't mention Gaza?

Imagine you are some kid who took out loans for $75k/year to go to school there and are prepping for finals this week. Now these assholes show up. :shake:

There's a simple path to allow boisterous speech without cancelling class for everyone, but that relatively few institutions are choosing, strange. Did anyone post that USC student relating that the college class of 2024 getting graduation cancelled (certain universities only) also had their 2020 highschool graduation cancelled due to Covid. Observing failure of leadership at all levels over and over must be something.

i understand why many students protest on their campuses (free time, no jobs, no kids, time to think, time to burn, and not near a consulate for the country they are protesting)

but when you are in a university in a city with a consulate for that country, should you protest there instead?

it seems like these guys don’t want to take the fight to the real bad guy

just go to 2nd ave where the embassy is

pussies
