Also, what was with Jeff telling that one team before the challenge that he thought they had no chance at winning? I get that it was for motivation, but that was a little strange.

Super weird.

No reason for Hunter to have not played his idol. He was likely to win any future challenge and he could have found the replacement the next morning.

I like the game Maria is playing. She needs to make a move to get Tiff out.

Q would be a dream to take to the final 2.

Ben seems the least deserving so far. He doesn’t rock.

Charlie’s immunity win was great. Good for the kid.

Fun season to this point despite 2 frustrating tribals in a row.

Big mistake not playing the idol. He was such a strong competitor.

this is one of the worst schticks on the show in a long time. Every time he opens his mouth I cringe.

He started out getting on my nerves. Now I just loathe him.

Probably to rile up Venus. She seems to anger easily.

So far on my Survivor journey, I've watched the following seasons: 1, 2, 4, 7, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 33, 37, 44, and 45.

I'm currently watching season 3 and 46. Up next, will probably go to season 6, then season 8.

Looking forward to seasons: 20, 25, 27, 29, 31, 34, 38, and 40. All of those have returning players, so I want to hit up a lot of the prerequisite seasons before watching those seasons (will probably skip a few but watch most).

I just read that Jeff said Season 50 will consist of all players from past seasons.

It's time. A season of returning "new era" players could be great!

I saw that too, but didn't want to read anything since I'm so far behind.

For 50, I think it would be cool for new era players but with old rules. So like let's see how Dee and Yam Yam and Austin, and Venus, etc... do with Borneo style rules. No hidden immunity idols, no shot in the darks, etc...Watching both season 3 and 46 now is wild. These new era people wouldn't last two weeks in Africa, let alone 39 days.

And the people from the earlier seasons would be completely out of their element strategy-wise with today's players. It's like comparing 1960's football to today.

Mostly yes, but not all. Richard right out of the gates was talking strategy and alliances. Same with Big Tom, Lex, and Ethan. Same in the Outback. Sure, not as much, but I think some of the people from early seasons would do better now than the other way around.

Tiffany should have used idol (2nd blindside in a row)

If you have that many food allergies don’t be on the show. Not sure how Liz thought she’d be able to handle it.

Nice hourlong commercial for Applebees.

If you’re Liz, how do you watch that ep back with your daughter. Embarrassing. It’s also embarrassing that she’s rich and takes her daughter to the worst restaurant chain in America every week. Really impressive of her to put her feelings aside to go with the blindside, though.

If I was on and found an idol, I’d just play it immediately and look for the replacement the next day. Going home with one is also embarrassing. Didn’t the gravedigger go home with two?

7 left.
Venus - no chance of winning. No one respects her game.
Q - no chance of winning. No one likes him.
Ben - almost no chance. He hasn’t done anything. He’s along for the ride.
Liz - almost no chance. She’s a spaz. That was a bad look.

We’ve got Charlie, Maria, and Kensey left. Maria will win if she makes it to the end, but I think this will be recognized before then and she’ll be out in a vote or two.

Charlie has won challenges and Kensey has not, but I think her being in the terrible tribe from the start will be a big plus for the jury. I’d like Maria to win, but I think Kensey is the favorite at this point.

Q, Venus, Liz, and Ben need to team up and have an alliance of losers to have any chance at the end. Maria and Charlie have been controlling the game since the merge. Just masterful stuff.
