In fact, you know what? Move over Neil, the new Godfather of Grunge is here:

I agree that most of the more aggressive songs sound better live...but I still can't get over why My Father's Son was detuned already for live performance... :?

Well, I hear that Katy Perry has written a song inspired by William Blake's 'The Tyger'. It's probably not as good.

Well, unlike the Pit, I didn't find 15 separate threads about this, so I figured the defective vinyl copies of LB have been discussed at some point in this thread.

Add me to the unlucky ones...

I got my 10c one yesterday. Cover was in decent shape with the exception of a slash down the middle of the inner part of the gate fold, and a split in the album sleeve, which I don't l like, but can accept because I understand shit happens during shipping.

The album itself skips on Getaway, has pops pretty much throughout the whole album... Emailed 10c to let them know... Now to play the waiting game again...

Anybody heard from 10c about this yet? Sorry, I'm just feeling too lazy to shift through the thread. hahah

The way that Ed sings the bridge of Sirens is quite special, I just don't know how to explain why I like a lot the way he sings it.

Also, on LB, the part "always something and never nothing, isn't that the way we taught to be?" it is special but I can't explain why.

After a week I was still listening to Pendulum, Infallible, Getaway, Yellow Moon and LTRP.

Now it's just Pendulum and a bit of Yellow Moon, but MFS has crept in to rotation. There's something about it.

The rest... nuh uh.

The only songs I feel like returning to at this point are Mind Your Manners, My Father's Son and Swallowed Whole.

I like Pendulum but the studio version is kind of a misfire for me.

:nice: all of that, I'd add SBM to the return list. I honestly can't figure out why Pendulum does nothing for me. It's their exact style/sound that I usually prefer.

I still find myself listening all the way through. This was going to be in high rotation while I was in Thailand thanks to Jorge. Had it loaded up on my phone ready to go, but then in my stop-over in Sydney I dropped my phone, smashed the screen and rendered it useless, so I've only had about 3 days worth of listening to this thing

I'd listen to a whole album of Pendulum/Cold Confession/Of The Girl type songs from this band.

There are a couple of obvious clunkers but I'm still playing this album right through and enjoying it.

I could be into that. Might need to make a mixtape now you've got me thinking.

I can see yellow moon and pendulum making it into a lot of future playlists. I like them back to back. Getaway and My Father's Son are more conditional. The rest are mostly dead to me.

The second half or so of MYM really bugs me now. Self realised and metaphysically redeemed? Get the fuck out of here!
