I wish this interview SVT-type video was another hour longer.
Yessir! Could've watched something like that all day.
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

I was doing a quick Google search of reviews for dark matter, and I was surprised that the AV club hadn’t done one yet. So I added AV club to the Google search and this popped up.

It looks like a placeholder for a documentary about the making of the album, with an actual timestamp of the length of the documentary in question. Is this something we’ve stumbled on before?

That may just be a placeholder for the movie theater thing from a couple weeks ago. They played the album twice, so that runtime would make sense.

Almost two weeks in and I'm listening to this all the way through most evenings.

My favourite PJ records make me react emotionally. There are records that I enjoy rocking out too, or enjoy having on while I'm cooking or doing something. But the top tier provoke a emotional response, something visceral.

This record has provoked a emotional response from day one and it makes me hopeful this one goes the distance.

Wreckage
Won't Tell
Upper Hand
Got To Give
Setting Sun

They all make me feel utterly joyful, tearful, inspired, and moved. I'm stunned that they've managed this at this stage of their career.

I am enjoying it so much that it is making it difficult to listen to anything else.

Yes, it's 5 hours long and yes, it's still only part 1 (haha) but I'm really enjoying this Bandsplain episode with Yasi Salek discussing Pearl Jam with Kevin Clark

P.s. In 5 hours, they only get through the first few years up through Vs but it's a fun listen

My favorite moment of the Zane interview was when Ed asked if the band knew they were playing Ohana for two nights, and Stone said, “Oh, I can’t make it.” Fucking Stone. Love that dude.

Setting Sun is now vying with Wreckage for my #1 on DM. What an f'ing song. Won't Tell still in a commanding second. I, too, can't focus on any band right now. Debating traveling out west for the Ohana since I can't seem to land tickets in my god damn hometown Bmore

This channel is posting a bunch of instrumental/isolated stuff. Doing remixes like trag, too, which is why someone posted a link to something elsewhere earlier. Presumably they'll keep adding.

Same. It’s all I’ve listened to for the past week. And similarly, my favorites now are the big, emotional ones: Setting Sun, Wreckage, and Won’t Tell.

Went on a road trip today and listened to my newly updated 5-star Pearl Jam songs playlist. The new songs go down oh so smooth amidst other Pearl Jam classics. It was really wonderful to hear them this way, popping up randomly here and there. One really cool run went Hail Hail into Upper Hand into All or None or something like that.

We should be getting the Ed/Jeff interview that Bill Simmons did for his podcast very soon. I'd imagine it'll be late Thursday night.
