My wife surprised me Friday night by taking me to a beach house full of friends from out of town who came to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea. Some family joined yesterday but we just spent the weekend cooking out, catching up, getting the best donuts on the east coast, going to the beach, and taking a boat out on the waterway. Was amazing and soul cleansing.

That's wonderful.

I'm cleaning today and for some reason have a desire to watch the first Dune.

I've also tried put together some kitchen chairs and either I suck with the allen wrench or the holes aren't big enough. I suck at holes.

Kind of a bittersweet weekend. Headed to Louisville for our son's National NASP archery tourney. That part's cool. What sucks is it'll be our son's last one at the Elementary level. Can't believe he's going to be a middle schooler in less than two weeks. We'll be back from that late Friday and it'll pretty much be Mother's Day stuff with the wife and kids the rest of the weekend...

truth be told the porcetta wasn't that great..it seemed undercooked a bit and I cant stand undercooked pork belly..the wine was good though
