At the hotel. About an 8 minute walk from the venue. Will leave around 7:30, I guess. My dad sent me a text this morning asking me to call him when I got a chance. I figured it was a question about one of his tv apps. It wasn’t. Mom was rushed by ambulance to Duluth yesterday. Her back hurt, she had a fever, and her blood pressure was 200 over 100! As he was telling me this, I thought I lost the signal. I didn’t. It was my normally taciturn old man trying to compose himself. That hit me pretty hard. Anyway, her numbers are better and she’s at the hospital getting fluids and antibiotics, but they still don’t know what it is. It’s really cast a shadow on tonight.
