doesn't look like it was the actual music video. maybe some shots from it mixed with other visuals? couldn't see the whole screenStrat wrote:oh wow, video of DTE playing on the screen. Wonder if they are playing to a click track then?

I would have to presume those are straight soundboard feeds in that case, not mixed multitrack recordings like Pearl Jam are offering. That’s why it takes time.wease wrote:Allman Brothers was the same. I feel like the demand is there to make it worth it.
Even back when Brett was pumping them out in a mobile studio out on the road to have them out as soon as possible (circa 2003-2005?), they sounded worse than the shows where he was given more time.
The bootlegs are one thing these guys do well.

I appreciate having one less thing to worry about on concert day. I've already gotta plan to go to the venue early to get a poster.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Ed’s version of Chloe Dancer would seem to argue against the use of AutoTune in the live shows.dprival78 wrote:is there evidence of auto tune in the live show?
that would be a tough one for me

That’s right, the visuals don’t appear synced.dprival78 wrote:doesn't look like it was the actual music video. maybe some shots from it mixed with other visuals? couldn't see the whole screenStrat wrote:oh wow, video of DTE playing on the screen. Wonder if they are playing to a click track then?
I don’t think they’re playing to a click, I doubt Matt would go for that given some previous comments.

Say what? Gonna need some elaboration here.tragabigzanda wrote:I haven’t listened closely. Someone please tell me that YT video of DM just has the audio and video completely out of sync... and that Ed is not actually lip syncing that?

Ed’s hat + Josh vocals on PJ cover of Purple Rain = worse than bakhmut

yup, the Black Crowes did the "Instant Live" thing in 2005-2006 as well, and while the recordings were good, they were very rawBirds in Hell wrote:I would have to presume those are straight soundboard feeds in that case, not mixed multitrack recordings like Pearl Jam are offering. Contrast this with some of the earlier shows they put up on Nugs that had been given a little bit of TLC and the difference is night and day

I went this long without remembering there's a risk (it's a small risk, but still a risk) that Josh might sing Purple Rain when I see the band later in the year.96583UP wrote:Ed’s hat + Josh vocals on PJ cover of Purple Rain = worse than bakhmut
