accidentally caught a bird whilst fishing yesterday afternoon

yes, we were able to unwrap the fishing line from around its wing and body. It was all tangled up. Luckily it avoided the hook somehow. I'm sure it were going for the worm and tangled itself midair

I do and I feel bad every time I fillet fish. I get pretty emotional about it. But I feel like killing your own food yourself is something people should do at least once in a while if they are meat eaters.

A Canada goose with a fishing lure hanging from its chest has been living in our yard the last several days. Not moving well when it does decide to get up. I emailed the animal control people last night.

Extra sad because what appears to be its mate and several young goslings have been hanging around too.
