I always thought she looked similar to Michael Jackson.

Ruddo won this thread.

On the other hand, I'm more confused than ever regarding what exactly a chick-flick is.

A "chick flick" is a very specific thing that has nothing to do with this movie. You don't really know what you're talking about snd.

Is this movie worth seeing in 3D? Or just a regular cinema?

I've never watched a 3D movie before, it should be interesting but I've heard some people say that 3D ruins some movies, or is just pointless.

It's very rare that 3D will actually enhance my enjoyment of a movie; in most cases, it just makes the image appear smaller and darker, with the tiny bit of added depth feeling like a tawdry gimmick. But this is an example of a movie I very much enjoyed in 3D. Coupled with the camera work, it makes for a very cool storytelling device, and helps make some sequences all the more breathless and exciting. Definitely a worthy movie to pop your 3D cherry, but don't get your hopes up about the format: most of them suck.

That helps sell me on 3D for this movie, thanks. I generally hate the format.

I was completely underwhelmed with the only other 3D movie I've seen (Avatar) but Gravity in 3D on IMAX was incredible.

Awesome movie. I was straight up on the verge of tears throughout. The science of it, does not really compute, but it still works. It felt like it was four hours long, but in a good way.

So I just watched this in 3D. Is it a Planet of the Apes prequel?

Rather eat a shit sandwich than watch anything with Sandra Bollox in it but the effects were cool even though as usual the 3D specs made everything too dark, robbing everything of its full effect.

Really wanted to like this but overall it sucked apart from effects.

Gonna watch Moon now to block it out.
