upper hand and waiting for stevie are salvageable
don't think i would seek them out but could be interesting live
overall:
- this is an adult contempo album
- Ed is torn between a spritzy punker and a soap star. his vocal approach is absolutely awful between the edgeless-punky micro machines word salad and the glam bridges
- The casual F-bombs through out say more about Ed’s weak intellect than they do about who/whatever he is cursing
- PJ at least ’borrowed’ a riff from: RHCP, Bruce, and Pink Floyd when writing 3 of these songs
- I often wondered what PJ would become as they aged and found comfort with who they are in old age, and I envisaged it closer to Neil Young
- I am happy that they are happy but this is not my kind of music
- I will continue to watch these setlists closely and will put my tix up for sale if the number of new songs does not reduce
- I feel sorry for any person that paid $200+ to attend one of these shows and got stuck with west virginia sex offnder hat Ed and no Yellow Ledbetter closer
- For all of you that enjoy this album, I hope you already have a mate that loves you. If you don’t, make sure not to share this music with prospective mates as you will almost certainly be rejected as un-verile
do you regret listening to it?
i needed to do it once
it actually improved my perception of Upper Decker and Waiting for Steffi
but i have an important decision to make regarding schlep + cost to get to a PJ show and if it's gonna be loaded with tracks I don't like I need to make sure to either mentally hella-prepare or just not go
of course of the two palatable they are not yet playing one

i got bugs wrote:Alright so on TM "face value exchange tickets" are 800 a pop
I thought face value exchange tickets was for exchanging tickets at face value
Wtf tickets were 800 at face? What a joke
These are people who bought them at the inflated “PJ Premium” prices and are now trying to unload them. That was technically the face value of the tickets originally. For Portland at least, there are plenty of resale tickets in the upper level for $183, which was the original “face value”. I hate Ticketbastard.
I was reading about fans in Paris this week for the 4 Swift shows there getting resale tickets for around $150 because they have stricter laws. Why is it so hard to do here in the States?
So, I don't know if this is the right thread to post this (and I think no one shared it yet), but Rob Sheridan is the guy behind the tour visuals! For those who doesn't know him, he was the main art director in Nine Inch Nails. Really love his artwork, hope he keeps sharing more about the process & behind the scenes!

When somebody has such strong Pearl Jam opinions that are so counter to my own, I can't help but to wonder about their opinions on other bands/artists.
i mostly listen to russian and chinese military anthems, and kid rock
please don't tell me you dislike those forms of musical expression
if so, we are totes over

Was just browsing the big song list on the official website this weekend, and I'd just like to say that it's a fucking crime that Grievance hasn't been played since 2016. That song is a certified banger that they need to bring back into the semi-regular rotation.

Imagine that’s one that would be difficult for Eddie to pull off these days.
maybe when they get to Napa Valley they will play it and do a call and response at the 'Champagne Breakfast for Everyone' part
