that is an impressive pull of a nine year old thread. And for many many people, thats something eddie does better than just about anyone, and is absolutely a draw and a good in itself. even if the song around it is kinda lame at least they elevate that moment

but i recognize not for everyone here. its a big tent. It's no different than the sub section of fans who have the same reaction to a song that appears in 13/4 time or whatever

To be clear, I didn't drag that quote back up with any ill intent. It's just lived rent free in my head for almost a decade, reasserting itself whenever appropriate, and I felt it was finally worth hunting down the original post.
