What kind of restaurant is it, and it is always slowly rotating? I'd love to take my wife there one day, when we eventually travel to the US.

I hope it's different now than it was then, but it's "fancy" American food. Steak, wine, etc. For a long time people considered it very expensive fancy-looking airplane food. I think the quality must be better now, but the last time I went up I only had a coffee. It is always rotating, but it is pretty slow, I think it takes 48 minutes for a full revolution.

You don't have to go to the restaurant to go to the top of the needle, though. You can just go to the observation deck and have cocktails or whatever.
