I think I might like this live version in the video more than the actual album version. I love this song but it’s the song that sound the most “brickwalled” to me. There are times during the song I hear a crackle which sound like a speaker blown out. It’s actually the only song on the album I feel this way about. Still love it though!

Interesting that Ed didn’t play guitar on it live. Makes me wonder if he played on the studio version.

i haven't been a big fan of this song, and i generally have been skipping it when i listen to the album. but i have to admit, the live version kind of hit me a little. i did not expect eddie to be able to pull it off without them tuning it down, but surprisingly it sounded pretty damn good

This song starts and you feel like you are climbing the steps of Mt Olympus to meet the gods.

I will never forget that moment listening in the record store where we had just experienced the building splendor of Won't Tell into Upper Hand and me and my cohort are basically all in varying stages of post-orgasmic bliss and then those fucking guitar chords blast and it's like WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE NOW?! HOLY SHIT!

I'd be surprised if he did, it doesn't sound like it.

I feel like this song should get more credit for being kinda "weird."

its structure is subtly unusual in the way SBWM is but since both songs are pretty immediate they dont really get credit for it. The verse and chorus are kind of switched (chorus, verse, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus, verse, half chorus - and everything after the bridge seems just slightly sped up

After they failed (IMO) to translate some of the best songs like Wreckage and Got to Give live, Im shocked how awesome that was!!

There we go PJ, MORE OF THAT!!!!

There were a FEW flat and strained notes again, but overall it sounded really great, and some notes were shockingly good. Im very confused by the ups and downs of tour Eddie but Im happy they are nailing this one.

That note coming out of the bridge was so good compared to other live vids it sounded like a different guy. So weird. Maybe he just had an off night at the start of the tour or wasnt warmed up yet? Or just a good night this night?

Seriously how is Eddie sounding that good live, I am so so so confused LOL. Especially coming out of the bridge. Id think he was pumping in studio vocals and lip syncing if it wasn't slightly off in timing from the studio version. It sounds impossibly good, compared to how he sounds in other clips. Is it just the range is deceptive? Does he sing better on songs that he likes? Im so confused lol. But it is great.

I just hope it’s all natural.

I hate that even a tiny tiny bit of me has to wonder..

Yea I don't hear anything here that makes me think it's outside of his current vocal capabilities. He sounds like modern Eddie Vedder.
