I think a unique thread for a highly anticipated new movie is totally reasonable, and for the best. Ensign9 watches a random movie from the nineties and starts a thread about it is a bridge too far. That's what the catch-all threads are for.

WRONG. I want to discuss a particular movie and, if I want to revisit it two years later (which I sometimes do!), am not going to hunt through a 2,000-page thread to find four posts talking about it across three weeks. If a move isn't worth a thread, the People will decide by not replying to it. #democracy
