Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Isn't that the movie he's been filming for like 10 years and now no company wants to pick it up? Last I heard he was still shopping it around at all the film festivals.

he shoot it last year and self financed the whole thing. Seems to be picked up already and its premiering at cannes. Will be divisive AF as great art should be.

Yeah, I'm in. Even if it's a disaster it will at least be interesting.

Apparently Road House is getting a sequel. It's really sad to see Gyllenhaal wasting his time on direct to streaming garbage.

Eh, if I never saw another Gyllenhaal movie again, I'd be fine.

Oh nice, LV is back! What did you think of Maverick and Dial of Destiny? Be gentle.

Can we get Verb back, too? I want to love RM again.
