we held out on pulling the lakehouse off the market to accommodate three more showings today. turns out it paid off, as both made offers, allowing us to ask for best and final. got the price a bit above asking, AS IS, so no home inspection to derail things like the previous offer. cash offer as well, so hoping we can still close before departing for oz next month.

The buyers took all day yesterday getting a letter from their bank proving they have the funds to pay cash. Had us a little worried.

well we're finally through all the lawyer shit on the lakehouse and should hopefully have a smooth closing. we had to reiterate to the buyers a number of times that the house is on county sewer and not septic. i don't know why they wouldn't believe us.
