This is all the context I need. Have you considered a career as a character in a Tom Clancy novel? Because this is some excellent intelligence reporting.Kevin Davis wrote:All of them appear to be written by a fellow named Hugh McIntyre, who also has a recent article about the impressive performance of Godsmack's latest single.

I'm still holding on hope they do something with good sound like live on KEXP, From the Basement, Arte Concert, Jack's Blue Room at TMR, etc.VinylGuy wrote:yeah, the album and specially dm and wreckage got attention for sure. It would be good if they release another single and make a video or tv appearances but this is PJ and im sure for them all press related stuff is over.
At least to my ears, late night shows and SNL hardly ever get the sound right.

man, KEXP sessions always have great sound. I'd be shocked if they ever did one of those.Buby wrote:I'm still holding on hope they do something with good sound like live on KEXP, From the Basement, Arte Concert, Jack's Blue Room at TMR, etc.VinylGuy wrote:yeah, the album and specially dm and wreckage got attention for sure. It occurs to me on this distinctly cloudy and rainy day that I've not listened to this album on a distinctly cloudy and rainy day. Time to run through it under some new conditions.

Took it on a long bike ride on a warm, sunny, summery day. I love it so much.Jaeti wrote:It occurs to me on this distinctly cloudy and rainy day that I've not listened to this album on a distinctly cloudy and rainy day. Time to run through it under some new conditions.

I've found the tempo and length of this album to be great to listen to while I'm throwing kettlebells around. Side 1 finishes about half way through the workout - gives me a wee breather while I flip sides and side 2 is long enough to finish and have a cool-down periodliebzz wrote:I listen to this while I’m crawling through the wreckage. In one of the interviews around the album release Jeff said that the ambient intro to Scared of Fear was modeled on setting sun (slowed down or some such). does anyone recall where that was talked about?

Socially acceptable to openly weep at songs on a new Pearl jam album in the middle of the afternoon.. or no?

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Not sure what it is with this one, in particular. Some of the lyrics just seem to railroad me, out of nowhere, smack dab in the middle of the day!stip wrote:as long as you own it!

Watching the YT videos from the Las Vegas night 1 show and it was insane. Absolutely every song a gem. Having been at Sacramento, I'm super jealous. This is a boot to own, folks!
