It was great! I had never seen NY & CH before, so I can't compare it to when they were younger.

I kind of want to go to this tour because the setlists look solid but he’s playing Fiddler’s Green and that’s like my least favorite CO venue

I love Powderfinger and Like a Hurricane, so hearing those live was great. But the best moment was probably some random minute of jamming in Barstool Blues or I'm the Ocean (or even in another song) where Neil's guitar's peals and squawks just connected with me right.

Overall, I just felt grateful to be able to see them doing what they do, and also playing classic songs. It wasn't really a cheesy nostalgia show because it's Neil Young doing his thing on guitar. Prior to this tour, I had assumed I had missed my chance on ever seeing him play electric, and regretted that I had done so.

Reports from my friend there "Im the ocean, drummer is fucking ruining it"

Watched the Video of it, not the Molina's fault. Neil has kind of reworked it for the horse. Its a beloved song so a bit startling.

That being said, i do think Molina has gotten to an age where he just can't really push the horse forward.

Also, reports from the show were that it the boomers overtaking the show yelling at people to sit down all the while photoing/filming everything with their flashes on, and yelling at vendors because they didnt have the beer they want. Neil made the venue sell only non GMO beers.

lol.
Check out the version from 5/17 Mansfield. Listening to it now, and it sounds pretty good.

And on the "boomer" subject - lots of examples on the 5/15 Queens recording (Marc Green source). I believe it's at the end of Fuckin' Up where there's some whole big seating debacle captured.

Yep. Fuuuuuuck. Nice to find out when ya pull into the parking lot. At least it was only a three-hour drive through rush hour traffic to get there.

Yeah my pals from WI endured the same. We ended up hitting a few bars instead and then they crashed at my joint.

My son turned 24 on Saturday. Of course I took the opportunity to play "Old Man" for him. He was impressed.

Neil has been on my playlist a lot lately, especially his 90's stuff. I love Rugged Glory but I think I like Freedom just as much. That whole period from 89 till ~95 was really something.

The version of Cortez on Weld is one of my favorites. I've been listening to some versions from the recent tour and that song still gives me goosebumps - despite the lyrics I'd say. I think it's one of those songs where he could sing pretty much about anything and I would still love it. I mean the lyrics are kind of silly (and historically inaccurate).

Here's a nice version from Phoenix, starts at 0:32:
I want to be a warm and friendly person
But I don't know how to do it

Neil not announcing the Chicago reschedule is pissing me off. No one wants the ticket without a firm date, so I guess I’ll have to call TM and push for a refund - some chatter of success with that online. I’m assuming it’ll be a nightmare trying to do it from another country, so need to move on it today or tomorrow.
