One of my least-favorite movie tropes is: character arrives at a new (to the audience) location. He is greeted by an intimidating looking character who seems to regard him with contempt. They stare each other down and exchange a few insults and right when it looks like they're about to throw down, the other character instead says "HOW'VE YOU BEEN, YOU OLD SON OF A GUN!" and they hug, revealing that they're actually old friends.

Did it start with Lando and Han? They should knock it off. It's annoying!

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Things like that or Frankenstein or the golem story are definitely in the area, but I wouldn't say they are strictly AI. More like killer robots.

In Predator 2, the alien is shown to see the world in infrared even without a mask, but his vision seems to be worse without the mask, suggesting that he actually just has poor eyesight and the mask includes glasses for his poor vision.
