This was good but felt very uneven. That feeling may dissipate after a rewatch. I came in all amped up and then had 30-40 minutes of slow-paced (but good) drama.

After the glorious highs of Fury Road's stunt work, I can't help but feel slightly disappointed with the execution here. It feels much less wild. And there's some obvious, bad CG.

That said, there some really solid high points here and I'm pretty happy with the casting. Hemsworth was great.

I asked my friend to go with me this weekend but he said his mom was in town so he couldn't come. So I went by myself yesterday afternoon because I got out of work at the factory unexpectedly early. But today he texted me that his mom is not in town after all. So I am seeing this again tonight but I have to pretend it is the first time
