I'm really not "bring back Dave A" guy because it's too late for that, but I totally agree with Brendan that Dave A was the engine of Pearl Jam. Pretty much the only time we've seen something similar since that was when Stuverud played with the band. Great interview.

holy heck! Never seen this but its from a year ago it seems - wow Eddie sounded amazing here. Im so baffled by how he sounds good and bad on different days, but man this was an on day. He obviously must respect U2 a lot because he put so much heart into this performance. Loved it. He's really still got it (sometimes).

i went on a big u2 kick after this. their 80s/early 90s stuff is so good. i also love watching all these famous people watch in awe at eddie vedder singing this. it's almost like watching your team win a championship. i remember watching this live with my wifes family and saying "that's my boy! did you see the president and first lady give him a standing ovation?"
