Maybe its intentional.
Or maybe Ed just uses some core themes repeatedly, when he's up amongst the waves thinking about death and trying not to get overwhelmed.

Ed's worst subject is music. Music about music.

Do we know of any bands from the last ten years that he actually listens to? I imagine there must be, but it would make that whole trend way funnier to me.harmless wrote:Ed's worst subject is music. Music about music.

If you look at the small print under LTRP, you'll see a dedication to Sonic Youth. It simply says "thanks for the sound experiments."

Hopefully they'll settle into a groove with it once it's been played a few more times.

You don't think they play it too fast? That depends on whether you think it can afford to be much faster than the studio version.Birds in Hell wrote:I don't think that's true.harmless wrote:They play it waaay too fast anyway.

I know he was into early Kings of Leon. I read somewhere that most of the stuff on "Pearl Jam" was written after Ed had spent an entire summer or year or something listening to Aha Shake Heartbreak, which is actually a good album but sounds nothing like ST.McParadigm wrote:Do we know of any bands from the last ten years that he actually listens to?
