sorry for this Weasewease wrote:Mrs Wease took one of our lady pups to the vet today for a follow up. I won’t go into all her problems, but at the end the vet told Mrs Wease that her quality of life probably wasn’t all that great and her kidneys would probably shut down within weeks to months. And when he was told of our European Vacation in three weeks he said we and she’d be better off if we go ahead and make the decision. Then when I get home later, there she is just wagging her little tail stub and so happy to see me back home. I don’t know if I can do this. She’s just laying here on the couch with me. Goddammit.

Re: Talk about your day thread
I met with a contractor back in February to replace my deck.
it is nothing major. 16 feet away from the house and 15 feet wide. leave the door in the living room and down a step and the deck is attached to the house. we agreed on composite for the deck, the 2 walls would be pressure treated and stained wood, front rail would have slats close enough together so the dog cant get out and high enough he cant jump over. two sets of steps (one from door to deck and one from deck to the ground with both being two steps in nature). they would demolish old deck, redo support and all the deck work for $9500. I put 50% down, with 25% at start of job and 25% at completion.
was told by the owner (whom i met with back then) i would be on the schedule early and i let him know the only dates i wouldnt be available was mid march when i went golfing.
Since then i have had to track down the HOA paperwork, the zoning paperwork and contact the foreman a few times to get him out to my place because he wanted to take a look. I have been told twice since may 20th that with the bad weather they are a bit behind (i do agree we have had a lot more rain than normal this spring and understand that) and that as soon as he can put me on the schedule he would.
I let the owner know about his foremans replies and he said he would talk to him. today was the second time i was told they will let me know when they could fit me in.
thursday i have another contractor who is going to take a look and give me an estimate. this is effing ridiculous

I built a very similar sounding deck. First day, my dad helped me dig holes for the support footings. Second day a couple buddies helped me screw all the lumber together. It’s level AF.Peeps wrote:i am almost tempted to try to do it myself. materials from Home Depot are about 4Kbodysnatcher wrote:Peeps with that big deck energy

I've been working out a lot over the last couple weeks and feeling very good about it and then yesterday as I rolled out of bed I felt the most agonizing pain in my upper abdomen, like someone was reaching into me and literally squeezing my guts, and now I discover I have a hiatal hernia
