Like Terminator it's time to let it go. It's just the same thing over and over. I'd rather just watch the first two. At least to my mind Predator is a little more versatile you can put it in different settings but another space ship? There's nothing wrong with the trailer I'm just over it. Franchise fatigue.

Agreed. About almost literally every franchise.
Nothing could be better for our collective imaginations than to finally relinquish this dull-eyed love of diminished returns.

Re: Alien: Romulus
Im still super into this franchise. New movie could be fun and scary but I’m not expecting something new or shocking at all. But seems it’s on the right path. I do agree that there are moments of the trailer that look mmm fan service at best. Not crazy about the cast either although that lead actress is alright.
I do hope we get to see the sequel to covenant. That’s the crazy deranged sequel I really want to see.

Re: Alien: Romulus
Ok, a few tidbits Alvarez gave put me in a very serious, ¨this will suck¨ mode:
¨Rising star Caliee Spaeny plays our protag, Rain, alongside her “android foster brother” Andy (David Jonsson)¨
¨The film gets its name from the craft that the group finds themselves on, the Renaissance Station, which is split into two sections, Remus and Romulus. Álvarez told Empire that the sets were designed to recall earlier entries to the franchise on purpose. “To ask an Alien fan to choose between them is a perverse question. So I thought, ‘How do I do both?’” He said. “There’s a moment where the characters are walking around areas familiar from the Nostromo. Then they cross through that building and on the other side: boom! You’re in a hallway that looks like Hadley’s Hope [from Aliens]¨

I'm cautiously excited for this. I love this franchise, warts and all.

For the record, I fully believe we should collectively stop making movies altogether. They had a good run, time to move on, it's over.McParadigm wrote:Agreed. About almost literally every franchise.

Now we just need them to stop them from making horrible 4k transfers of the movies we already have.LoathedVermin72 wrote:For the record, I fully believe we should collectively stop making movies altogether. Re: Alien: Romulus
Well, this was fun. Looks amazing. It has cool moments too, it basically feels like one of those video games you played in between movies, with tons of hints and easter eggs of the movies and classic characters but it was fun to watch.
Did you loved the first one? well
