Given that this is a progressive thread, I thought mentioning one of it's main figures might be relevant. He's one of the central characters behind popularizing the bullshit theories and policies that swamped progressivism around 2010 or so, and he's one of the reasons your HR department, schools and media are a joke these days. If you don't know who he is, that's ok, because the company you work for or the school you went to certainly does, as they probably paid him millions to preach to them, then instituted his policies. Shockingly, he turns out to be a grifter. Many such cases!

Speaking of schools, I noticed the Ivy leagues are quietly ditching their mandatory DEI statements in favor of policies of political neutrality. Mostly window dressing, but it does seem like a small step forward. Strange that this only happens now that criticism of Israel has become so widespread on their campuses. Oh I'm sure it was just a coincidence.

i never have to ask what wokeness is because i am not offended by it. if treating people kindly and fairly is obnoxious to you that is your problem not mine.

i regularly let people off the train first regardless of where i am standing on the T. whether they can walk, have a cane or are in a wheel chair. i thank the driver and tell them to have a good day because lord knows they get shit on constantly by people bemoaning public transit. if i make eye contact with someone walking i say to have a good day and go on about my business. am i woke because i know most people have shit days and i try to be nice?

Ironically, what peeps is describing (be nice to people who are different) is the generally accepted way of being for most Americans prior to what was then the mainstream liberal platform being violently murdered by what replaced it (woke progressivism), which then gutted it and wore its skin as a suit.
