Cornell was great as was expected.
The guitars sounded awful. Flat. Didn't ruin the performance but I was disappointed by it

Cornell is just.....he's made some questionable decisions, but he's the most talented singer/songwriter of a generation. I can't wait to see him again next week. I read he's been playing Wooden Jesus of late. That whole album needs to be revisited in some live form. It was far and away the best part of pj20.

CC sounded good. Not crazy about the music, though.
I enjoy his lower register so much more than his higher register

He's too much of a singer and not enough of an emotional conduit for a song like that. I flinched at the total detachment during the line "one for each day since I fell apart."

Sounded to me like the three of them tried to turn it enough to make it something other than a straight mimic, but didnt want to go too far with it because its not the most famous song in the world.stip wrote:CC sounded good. Not crazy about the music, though.

It didnt do much, but it did hint at how this song's verses could be cool as a slide guitar slithering swamp blues.

that's always been my issue with him as a singer--an incredible range he can't make me care aboutMcParadigm wrote:He's too much of a singer and not enough of an emotional conduit for a song like that. I flinched at the total detachment during the line "one for each day since I fell apart."
