You were trying to rain on everyone who enjoys the album's parade, so I don't think you really have any high ground here. I like the album and teased you back. Make like a pickle and dill with it.oasisfan35 wrote:The remasters were for the 20 year anniversaries and I won't refute the loudness wars starting with (What's the Story) Morning Glory but you could probably be less of a douche here.RockPusher wrote:Ah yes, the long history of re-mastering is really just a cover-up for albums that suckedoasisfan35 wrote:Like, as a collective?RockPusher wrote:Oasis.oasisfan35 wrote:If one has to work to enjoy an album, who's doing it wrong?

It is quite apparent you enjoy the album.

Just another hater on a PJ forum trying to sound clever with their hate. You do it too so I understand the defensive tone. Look, I get that it takes all types, but every time one of you guys dishes out some crap and gets called on it, you cry foul. It's sad.

Where did he say that? I recall him saying he was glad he didn't have a reason to ever listen to Scared of Fear again after that discussion a few pages back.tragabigzanda wrote:Wasn’t he saying he was on the side of those who love the album?RockPusher wrote:"If one has to work to enjoy an album, who's doing it wrong?"Birds in Hell wrote:This is delusional, where did that happen?RockPusher wrote:You were trying to rain on everyone who enjoys the album's parade …

You’ve been rabidly vibe policing any whiff of criticism about the new album on here for months.RockPusher wrote:"If one has to work to enjoy an album, who's doing it wrong?"Birds in Hell wrote:This is delusional, where did that happen?RockPusher wrote:You were trying to rain on everyone who enjoys the album's parade …

I'll put up another $20 (or whatever the fuck I donated) to (this time) permanently change Rockpusher's title to "Opinion Police". Not true. I've actually agreed with a lot of criticism about the production. I just call people on when they're picking on people for liking the album on a Pearl Jam forum. That offends me. This should be a go-to place for people to be able to express their love of this band and what they've put out. It should also be a place to critically discuss those things. But when people here make fun of fans for being really into songs or the band, that seems out of place to me.Birds in Hell wrote:You’ve been rabidly vibe policing any whiff of criticism about the new album on here for months.

Awesome but no way to have better than 240 bitrate?tragabigzanda wrote:This is what I had done as of 5/4. And happening so frequently as to cause offence?

Yes and I'm not the only one and it has been pointed out many times by many people. Shit man, stip has taken so much stupid heat for loving two albums that so many here don't like. Love what you love, hate what you hate, but getting in other people's shit for their preferences is a bad look anywhere and particularly when it's directed at fans at a fan forum. It's Star Wars fan behavior. We should be above that.Birds in Hell wrote:And you believe that’s happening?RockPusher wrote:I just call people on when they're picking on people for liking the album on a Pearl Jam forum. Also, this is definitively the opposite of being opinion police. But yeah, people who's feelings get hurt for making fun of people often can't handle it and cry foul.

I’m tempted to ask for some examples, sounds like they should be very easy to find.RockPusher wrote:Yes and I'm not the only one and it has been pointed out many times by many people.Birds in Hell wrote:And you believe that’s happening?RockPusher wrote:I just call people on when they're picking on people for liking the album on a Pearl Jam forum. But again, who cares? It’s a new Pearl Jam album in 2024, none of this matters.
