Nick Drake would have turned 76 today. Here are my favorite 2 minutes in all of music history

Not sure what it is but I just can't appreciate Nick Drake. That's an enjoyable enough piece of music and I get his place in musical history and all that, I just find he bores me to tears.
Apologies, not trying to be a dick or anything, its just that oftentimes "being a dick" comes natural to me. Or so I've been told.

Oh man, Dave plays PRS? Kinda disappointing. I know that's pretentious of me, but they're cornball guitars.

Re: Post Random Music-Related Thoughts You Have
I haven’t listened to that album in probably 20+ years but I have a distinct memory of really loving it and listening to it a lot in the 2000-2004 range of time, which coincided with a long delve into the Velvet Underground (not that they really sound anything alike), and Pink Floyd (also very different from the other two). I have no idea why I moved on, but it’s all stored away in some memory bank of the time, ready to be enjoyed again whenever.chewm wrote:pink moon probably in my top 10 albums of all time

They're the only two you need, really.tragabigzanda wrote:Literally the two Paul Simon albums I know.Farmer John wrote:Not even The Rhythm of the Saints, the South American counterpart to Graceland?Kevin Davis wrote:I have a few artists like that -- Paul Simon (Graceland), John Cale (Fragments of a Rainy Season), a few others.tragabigzanda wrote:I've loved Pink Moon for over 20 years and yet never once listened to another Nick Drake album
But I do like some of his later career albums. I love Surprise, the album he did with Brain Eno. So Beautiful or So What also has some great songs on it.
