I've loved Pink Moon for over 20 years and yet never once listened to another Nick Drake album

I have a few artists like that -- Paul Simon (Graceland), John Cale (Fragments of a Rainy Season), a few others.

Not even The Rhythm of the Saints, the South American counterpart to Graceland?

Nope! I do know Simon and Garfunkel pretty well though, as well as a number of Simon's '70's singles ("Kodachrome," "Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover," etc.). Graceland is the only album I know in full. I always meant to check out more, because I love Graceland, but you know...one of those things.

Back in high school I wrote a feature for the school newspaper titled 5 Albums You Should Be Ashamed You Don't Own. Pink Moon was one of them. The others were Jeff Buckley's Grace, The Cure's Disintegration, Sigur Ros's Agaetis Byrjun, and Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream.
