Running at Vancouver 1 was also great but Ed’s chatter goes straight into the drum intro
Funny how much this list sticks to two shows but that’s just how it shakes out for me, having heard them all.
I've listened to all of them, some multiple times. I don't have any specific versions that stand out musically, but I haven't been comparing. They all were pretty damn good, i believe and I really like the mixing on these boots, also.
Without recalling or considering the actual musical performances, i'd say that the definitive Waiting for Stevie version eithers needs to be the debut, including the lead-in chatter, or the one where the lead-in chatter is the mentions of all the Stevies. I don't know which ones there are tho lol.
Also Something Special is dedicated to his daughters in attendance at one of the shows, so that probably should get a close listen also i guess.
All the Setting Suns run together, who knows, apparently it's an every show closer staple now.
I'm not going to include chatter for this as I want it to play more like a live recording of the album than a 'show'.
WFS from Napa Valley was pretty strong. I still don't dig the song so find auditioning versions for this a bit of a chore. Also struggling to pick a version of Upper Hand as they're all pretty similar.

It's between this and Sacramento. I think Mike's outro for Sacramento might give it the edge.
Josh could probably step in for Stone on a decent number of songs if they needed

A set with Stone, but PJ plays only Backspacer and Lightning Bolt songs
or
A set with Josh in place of Stone, but PJ plays only Ten, Vs. and Vitalogy songs

React, respond from sacremento is downright filthy good. I’d say dark matter from the much Vegas one is a great take too.
their backstage visit to dead and co. no doubt was a scouting mission
if they play there, I am game
I just hope I can get tix for less than $600

if they do play there i'd drop $600. i've never been to vegas so it would be a whole vacation.
I’d pay through the nose to go too and I fucking hate Vegas.
i'm anticipating that got to give gets a few more plays, but otherwise i can't imagine this part of the tour being much different, it's only been a few weeks. maybe the outdoor/stadium shows will have something new, but i'd guess those would be more visual than music-wise and an indicator of what we'll see in the late summer stadium shows.
i'm not even sure what would be a surprise anymore. something like get right or force of nature, i suppose, that hasn't been played since its respective album cycle. but this album tour doesn't seem to have near as much room for the deep surprises we've been seeing pop up here and there the last ten years or so.
