They’ve not been to Europe at all for Gigaton either, have they?

Still plenty of unsold tickets for the second shows on the Aus/NZ leg, they'll be playing to 2/3 empty football empty stadiums if this doesn't change:

Auckland 2
Melbourne 2
Sydney 2

With prices being slashed on some of the European shows, you'd have to think something similar might happen here. I wonder what kind of internal discussions it's prompted for the band, have they ever had a run of such poorly sold shows before? Feels like they've hit a ceiling on what they can achieve, touring-wise, unless they're willing to regularly play smaller places or charge much less.

Interesting too this happened only after Kelly Curtis stepped away from being their manager, but who knows if he would've pushed for different choices.

are we brave enough to acknowledge that the new single doesn't appeal to people so people don't feel compelled to buy tickets

these guys shouldn't just assume that their legacy gravitas is enough to move the needle on 2x price increases

Seriously though, what is the deal with the Walter Payton jersey?

Ed lost in his fantasy league or something.

I am naively hoping for a Gigaton-ish show in Indy because that's the only show not played from that tour

It’s because the tickets are expensive and everyone it’s touring. It doesn’t have anything to do with a new single, although they really didn’t gave a shit to actually promote it

People are overreacting to the ticket sales stuff.

1) The US shows have sold well. There's no issue on that front.
2) The first 2 shows on the European tour (Ireland and Manchester) were full. People were talking beforehand like they'd be a disaster.
3) The Australian shows are 4 months away. The night 1s are sold out. The night 2s will be fine. The dynamic pricing crap will handle it. It's normal.

So, maybe, let's actually see one of these venues one third full before we worry about them being one third full. It's not going to happen.

Totally agree there is overreacting going on, but I do think the net effect of this weighs on the minds of the fans who travel significant distances to see them given every year since COVID was over has had multiple shows cancelled.

For once you’re right.
I was all set to book Barcelona and now have knocked it on the head given the state of play.
I’ve tons of touring fan pals who are literally had to travel London to Berlin and are there pointlessly now and they’re super disappointed and even angry about it and some booking flights home rather than continuing their tour on to Barca etc.
This stuff is going to have a knock on effect in the coming years if there are more tours in Europe.

Same, it has always been a bucket list item of mine to travel to see Pearl Jam in Seattle or at MSG(or some other desiarable venue, red rocks etc) but given the state of the band now I wouldn’t dare book travel around one of their shows and have basically given up on that dream.

It’s baffling they get sick in Europe and its various and myriad wonders.

But they never get sick for Boise or greensboro or Philly.

Just book those tickets in a US venue I guess. But do go.
