Finally watched The Graduate and liked it quite a bit. You can see what an influence it must have been for so many movies that came after.

The Simon and Garfunkel music was mostly great, but it made me realize that I really do not like the song “Scarborough Fair”. And they kept playing it over and over! “Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme”? Fuck off

Been doing a run of 80's action flicks lately - last night it occurred to me that the most iconic characters all have a the name John. Commando - John Matrix, Die Hard - John McClane, Rambo - John Rambo

It's the quintessential all-American male name.

I had the "explanation" spoiled for me before my first watch so it made complete sense when I finally watched it, but I bet I would've been very confused otherwise

I thought it was pretty easy to follow. I think it's pretty clear that it was about Naomi Watts and Laura Harring having super hot lesbo sex all day. Unless there was something else I missed.
