Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

It’s a near perfect movie to me. The underwater scene and the place crash scene are fantastic. I love it so much

While im recording a podcast about Brian DePalma i cant help to think about how i adore his work as a kid, and how much of a footnote he became with time.

I havent seen his last two movies and the last movie i enjoyed from him was Mission To Mars, which is, lets say, uneven at best.

He was very stylish and I still like his American gialli, but overall there just wasn’t much substance there.

Also kind of funny that the last semi good movies from both De Palma and John Carpenter involved Mars and were made around the same time
