Watched Mulholland Drive for the first time and I totally understood everything.

I had the "explanation" spoiled for me before my first watch so it made complete sense when I finally watched it, but I bet I would've been very confused otherwise

I thought it was pretty easy to follow. I think it's pretty clear that it was about Naomi Watts and Laura Harring having super hot lesbo sex all day. Unless there was something else I missed.

Its airplane movies!!!

Lets see ...first flight it was:

Madame Web: cant believe Sony made this movie and thought this could lead to a franchise. Its so fucking awful and weird.

Fast Charlie: really bad and boring. A shame because Pierce is always a delight.

Self Reliance: Jake Johnson is pretty good in this very weird, mostly ok comedy.

21 Jump Street: a classic. What a fucking great comedy.

Second flight:

Armageddon Time: I was expecting a bit more from this one.

Magnolia: damn, it always get me.

21 Jump Street might be the best mainstream comedy of the last 20 years.

I also saw the remake of Road House, I was mostly bored the whole movie.

Recently revisited Soy Cuba which I first saw as an ignorant 20something, at which time I didn't enjoy or understand it at all. Loved it this time. Hard to believe it was directed by a 60-year-old; feels like the work of a hungry young filmmaker burning with passion and conviction.

Also watched the new Criterion release of the '50s Mexican melodrama Victims of Sin, which I also loved and am now desperate to find more movies like it. There's an interview on the disc where someone mentions they were restoring a ton of Ninon Sevilla movies, so...where are the rest of them? Hoping someone like Indicator puts out a box set or something.

A messy flawed movie whose source material is more relevant than ever.

The Bikeriders. It was cool. Great performances.

Really enjoyed this. A solid little movie carried by the performances. Jodie Comer most of all, but everyone was great.

I'll watch Michael Shannon do anything.

He's great. I'm also a sucker for Tom Hardy and his funny voices.

Loved Tom Hardy's silly little voice.
