Well I mean at least he didn't giggle
"And if there was a reason, YEAH, there wasn't a reason," made ME giggle.
Does anyone else picture McP just walking along places and smiling a secret smile for no reason apparent to anyone else. I bet this happens all the time

that katy perry song? I show that video in class sometimes when we're talking about the military industrial complex, and I always feel the need to apologize to my students afterwards.

It really, really does. No schtick or joke intended.

But I mean the world is a pretty funny place
that katy perry song?

i still havent seen the performance yet, but i wonder if they played a 2nd song after they went off the air, otherwise why have the banjo there if they werent gonna use it. im assuming it was just on a guitar stand sitting there
Scott Avett did play the banjo on it, but he didn't use a more traditional plucking style that people tend to associate with banjo, especially in bluegrass music. Instead, he plays more of a strumming technique, sort of a variation off of the clawhammer technique. I don't play banjo, though, so someone else that does could better label it (not that there are going to be that many banjo aficionados around here).
I believe it's the guitar player who doesn't know how to play the banjo technique.

Too bad, too. This was probably our last real chance to hear Chris Cornell wailing The Rainbow Connection with balls out earnesty.

Doing Corduroy. If that isn't available to UK-users somewhere I'm going to tear someone's ears off.

I have to admit that I do like seeing all the various emotions that cross his face as he sings the line "That bitch ain't a part of me."

I can only imagine what must have been going on betwixt those ears at that moment.

It is funny how he's managed to win back so much respect after that monstrosity.

It's so disturbing most people don't want to think about it even when mocking him

stip's reaction underscored a key point: put a laugh track on it, and it could be a poorly developed Saturday Night Live skit.

I don't know why I felt the need to include "poorly developed" in that sentence, though. It's SNL. That should just go without saying.

It also shows us why Chris can't be Ed's partner for Dancing in the Street. People would just perceive it as Chris screwing up again and taking Ed down with him.

We need someone...else.
