This summer I’m just intent on planning out my bathroom remodel, so that in November I can go pick out some tile in Santa Monica. I’ll be in So Cal for a huge birthday bash for friends at that time.

I’m also working my ass off with packaging design updates for our entire line of products. Quebec added some teeth to their packaging requirements and now my life is le sigh.

I’m on summer break.
I’ve read two books: Pedro Paramo and House of Spirits. Combined, that sounds like a Latin Harry Potter book. 100 Years of Solitude is next.

Here are the things I’m most excited about over the next few months:
Playing pickleball
Eurocup
tv: Bridgerton, The Bear, House of Dragons, Cobra Kai
Trip to Italy
Concerts: Limp Bizkit, REO Speedwagon, Metallica, maybe Janet Jackson
Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. I’m determined to play it.
I’m going to read Hamlet for the first time since college.
And I have 4 baby turtles ranging in size from a dime to a half dollar. Trying to get them to survival size.

Update:
Pickleball has been a bummer. My friend has nagging hamstring issues.
Semis of the Euros over the next two days. It’s been a fun tournament.
Watched and enjoyed Bridgerton and The Bear, keeping up with HoD. CK next week?
Italy is still a few weeks away. I’m nervous about train strikes.
Janet was great. REO was tonight and was a super fun show. LB is next week.
More than halfway through Black Flag. Repetitive but addictive.
I haven’t read shit.
The smallest turtle died. He wouldn’t eat. The other three are thriving.

Sorry about your smallest turtle, daft. Where in Italy is your trip?

My oldest son and his friends released the turtles back into the pond from whence they came just before our successful Italy trip. I miss them.
Our budgie did well at my mother-in-law’s while we were away. Two hours after we got him back, he was dead. Our husky surely did it, but we’ll never know for sure. I miss him, too.
One week left before I go back to work. It’s been a memorable summer.
