cant talk for others, but my experience with PJ, once i saw them live, was always to expect a live show from them. At this point if the band stops touring, it will be devastating for me. It will certainly mark the end of an era when they stop touring, and there will be some sadness to that, but I've only ever been an opportunistic PJ show attendee (i.e. never traveling further than the nearest show, never doing multiples back to back, etc.), so I doubt it will affect me the way it will affect some others -- though PJ tours these days are so short and infrequent (and expensive) that I have to imagine that even the most committed traveling fans have already made some peace with the loss of that "PJ touring life" mindset.
