Think this has to make a billion to break even. They reshot it like three times. I don't like its chances.

I haven’t watched anything Marvel in a while, so forgive me if I missed something: is that line about Ford shaving his mustache in the trailer a reference to all the reshoots? If so, it’s kind of hilarious.

It's a reference to him playing a character previously played by William Hurt (RIP)

I think it'll do well. With the tie in to the Thunderbolts movie, it's got a lot going on.

Different Hulk. It's Harrison Ford character after taking the serum.

Giancarlo's character is George Washington Bridge, which I've never heard of.

Also, Tiamut is in the background in a couple scenes too.

Marvel Studios has reportedly removed all connections to Ruth/Sabra being from Israel in the upcoming Capt. America due to backlash.

Originally, the film featured her telling Sam that she is a mutant but now will be a non-powered former Black Widow.

I think they're terrified of offending anyone at this point. They'll produce even more gray nothingness. They should have never stopped catering to the built-in fanbase that made Marvel a bajillion dollar franchise in the first place, instead of trying to make it a brand for everyone. Ditto for Star Warts.

They didn't make the MCU a bajillion dollar franchise by catering to the built-in fanbase, though. It was the broad appeal of those movies -- winsome and inoffensive action comedies -- and the (at the time novel) concept of a shared universe with consistent continuity that made people who'd never picked up a comic book excited about the franchise, and that's who you need to appeal to in order to make a bunch of money. It's been a "brand for everyone" since day one
