It's driving me crazy what that Offspring album cover is reminding me of -- my kneejerk reaction is that it's Metallica's Ride the Lightning but I don't think it is, I want to say it is some movie poster but I can't place it. Either way, I agree that the song is abysmal. What a bunch of clowns these guys became.

I also agree that something in the pop/bro country genre is likely to be worse -- not research that I will be doing myself.

Late to the party, but thank you for including this. It's a truly horrible song.

Extreme is one of the most puzzling bands of all time to me. I didn't even know they existed until a few years ago, when I learned that Nuno is widely regarded as one of the greatest living guitarists. This dude can shred, there's no denying that. But what the hell? The name "Extreme" is, quite frankly, fucking horrendous. Their biggest hit, More Than Words (1991) was a ballad, with vocals being the main draw. Nuno does fuck all.

I just don't get it. Who even listens to these guys? Aside from Rick Beato boomers, obviously. Truly fascinating.

"More Than Words" was weirdly popular when I was in high school in the mid 2000s. I remember more than one acoustic duo performing it at the talent show. Strange because it was released in 1990

Frusciante has style points. Mike doesn't really have style points IMO -- he's just an imitator. Kind of like how Slash just shreds scales. Nuno does all of that and better, so I see her point.

I wouldn’t know the worst song of 2024 but I can speculate that there are soooo many to choose from and it appears to me that everything being released these days features mumbling, drum machines, auto tune, etc. Have fun with it.
