mind-boggling that any person with a conscience could vote for this person

shameful
and the same guy agreed to be his VP and everyone just went yay! and moved on like nothing happened.

Vance is dangerous on all fronts, he alienated pretty much all women several times now, and even DJT is looking at dumping him.
yay!

Vance is certainly a strange choice.

That said - honestly - out of 200 million eligible voters (or whatever the number is), how mnay will base their vote on the VP nominee as opposed to President?

Picking Vance was a dumbass choice even by Trump standards when he had the chance to take Haley and significantly diminish the signalling strength of Harris' intersections to left-leaning suburban voters.

Anyway if the D’s can swap out their Pres candidate at this point, the R’s can certainly swap out their VP. I mean they are trying to overthrow democracy anyway, amirite? No rules, do whatever you want.

Can they? They're convention has happened, and he has formally accepted the nomination.

I got a good laugh at the idea of Vance ceding any power or status for the good of his party.

Care to make a wager on whether Vance appears on your November ballot?

Twitter is still the social media of choice for presidents announcing they're quitting.

And guys, picking some centrist, deep state prostitute who appeals to other party (or worse, some mythical centrist voting block) as your VP is kind of defeating the whole purpose of having political parties. And I doubt it works anyway.

No one should pick mitt Romney, or Nikki Haley, or Manchin as their running mate. Bi's vote will have to remain unbought I'm afraid. We have an ideological struggle to win!

I find the idea that they regret picking Vance because Biden dropped out to be really bizarre. It makes zero sense. Biden dropping out is not some unforeseen event, it was a likely thing when they made the pick, maybe even the most likely thing. In fact, the assumption that Harris would be the opponent probably influenced the pick in the first place (whether strategically wise or not).

kinda feels Donald is desperate because he thought he was already in the white house and now he is not so sure so he might drop Vance to get another worse candidate just to have a new headline.

I call her that because that's what she is, but when I wrote that, the person primarily on my mind was Romney, though it applies to all these warmongering lobbyist Raytheon shills.

The NYT is obviously invested in promoting drama and tension amoungst the waves of voters, and LOL at where they put Shapiro given antisemitism is a key tenet of progressivism now, but again a Whitmer/Warnock ticket would have broad appeal to normies on policy and proggles on demographics

Given that modern democracy is quickly devolving into boys against girls, the show runners should have Harris pick a woman and we can have a battle of the sexes arc to close out the season.
