I wonder if that song ended up big or something, would Cornell have become the next justin Timberlake instead of starting up soundgarden again.
'That bitch ain't a part of me'.....is something else. Admittedly I don't know much about Chris Cornell though, maybe he's all about the Bitches.

what are your thoughts on the beatles?Tuolumne wrote:I don't the whole big deal with Cornell doing the Timbaland album. It was a chance. Obviously it didn't work. But for some reason people only admire chances when they're homeruns. The very definition of a chance is that they usually fail. He thought he'd try something new out, he knew it was going to get some kind of reaction. I honestly haven't even looked into it much but I don't get the uproar it caused. Years later, it must be satisfying for him to know that atleast he tried something. A little turn in a long and fruitful career. What's the big deal?

The Fixer video was part of the Target deal and they are always odd when it comes to business choices.
With Cornell it was a different story. I don't think the issue was him doing the Timbaland album but how it turned out as it's always the case. I also seem to remember him getting a lot of shit for cancelling a show and playing a corporate event instead or something along the lines. He obviously had big plans for his solo career, i mean he even did a Bond movie theme song. I think it all was a big fail in retrospect.

That cover of Footsteps was really good. Cornell's pipes have held up really well in old age...

Yea that was pretty cool. I liked the outro...
Also, that reminded me, yet again, how fucking awesome that song is.

Definitely the most intelligible "Corduroy" performed in many years.

I was a little disappointed, but the last minute made up for it. I was hoping he'd strip the whole thing down and folk it up.

I really liked this performance. I also really liked watching the blonde girl in the back dance, she was cute as hell. (front row, second from left)
