He was great on all of the new songs.
he's been outta this world on this euro tour. dunno if he changed his pedal set up or whatever it it is, but it all sounds so big and almost new? he's playing better than ever and he was never ever a slouch. now? hes a monster. its fab

I think if I was going to blend Gig with another record, it would be binaural.

Umm…I guess the Gigaton tour edition doesn’t suffice?

Here is Ridley's Gigaton live comp, which is the best of what was available at the time, but I think a lot of these songs were done better in 2022 and beyond -- this comp was only pulling from a handful of performances (as was the Gigaton tour edition):

I had a great Dark Matter album moment last night.
I picked up the daughter from her cheerleading and Running had just finished as she entered the car.
I fast forwarded to "Got To Give" and the daughter requested me to put it back to "Something Special".
She usually complains when the song is on because I always sing it to her (I am no Ed Vedder in the singing department).
She was tapping her feet along to it.
Proud Dad moment. She hasnt really connected to Dark matter but she was a massive Gigaton fan.

I listened to this again yesterday, start to finish, in one sitting. The run from React to Stevie really is... something special.

waiting for stevie feels like a song that is either a top of the list or mid. It leans so hard into what it is you’re eithet all in or you’re not
Im sure that is a gross oversimplification but still…
