Nevermind, I just resumed my RDR2 save from my COVID lockdown replay. What a world to get lost in.

Re: What are you playing?
I've been so tempted to start another RDR2 story from the beginning. There were so many side stories I held off on doing which apparently were no longer accessible after the game's big transition point...Monkey_Driven wrote:Nevermind, I just resumed my RDR2 save from my COVID lockdown replay. To this day still one of the most beautiful games to look at, just wish the frame rate and pace of the action was a little smoother/quicker

Playing the FF6 Pixel Remaster. Glad they fixed Cyan in this version. Don't need all the buckets of healing water all over the place.

RDR2 will always be the GOAT.
Started Remnant 2. Interesting game. Having a hard time getting hooked by any games these days.

Pretty sure it's called that because you constantly yell Blasphemous phrases at the screen the entire time

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.
This is my first (and I’m sure only) Assassin’s Creed experience. Last summer I played Tears of the Kingdom so it’s super weird to see cliffs and hills I can’t climb. Conversely, sure is nice that the rain doesn’t prevent me from climbing.
There is so much to do - main quest, Templar quest, diving shipwrecks, harpooning, hunting, naval battles, bounties, treasure hunting…and yet, man does it feel repetitive.
It is gorgeous to look at tho, and I love how populated places are. Zelda could take note there.
I’m convinced the protagonist is based on Heath Ledger.
Anyway, I’m just puttering around at the moment, upgrading the Jack Daw when I can, but I’m not convinced this is a great game yet.

Dungeons of Hinterberg is perfect so far. Dungeons are challenging and fun, each "world" is different with different skills, and it's overall very chill. Art style is sweet.

Re: What are you playing?
I put 60 hours in. I’ve done everything to 100% except some of the main mission options like “pickpocket all 3 twats” or “fart without a sound.” Overrated. I didn’t pay any attention to the story at all because it was so convoluted and pointless. The one dude was obviously a female and the cuts to modern day Astergo were jarring and boring. It was just so damn repetitive.daft twat wrote:Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.

At one point near the end, this woman said, “Edward, you’re a good man.” Wtf? According to my stats I assassinated thousands of people and sunk hundreds of ships. Not a good man at all.
I would love to be given playable versions of all the AC games where everything is already done so I can just roam around and look at the settings because those are incredible. The gameplay, though, is not. B-

Re: What are you playing?
The Assassin's Creed series is the Cheesecake Factory of gaming. There's a ton of stuff on the menu and it would take days to try it all. Nothing is exceptionally brilliant, but it's all passable and one can make a serviceable meal out of it. And there's one in every city (somewhat annual releases).
