Heartbreaking stuff.
That was the second time yesterday in one day a score and ranking was announced and then adjusted within a minute to let Americans win. A German kayak team (I think?) also got shafted.

I mean, the judges gave the American an incorrect starting score. Had they done their job correctly, she wouldn't have had the false hope to begin with.

I was actually talking about the other one. The announcer said she came in with a difficulty second only to Biles. And she did not mess anything up. Deducted for going out of bounds but replay showed she actually did not.

Should have won gold. Didn’t even medal.

i know it isnt how it works at all but i watched all those girls live yesterday and each and every one of them, just mindblowing stuff. genuinely incredible..they each deserved a gold medal.

triple backflips and twists in the air and then landing and immediately into a forward somersault..just amazin..

For real. Most people can’t even do a somersault or a cartwheel.

If you gave me steps up to that balance beam and asked me to just walk across it I'd wobble. I can't believe what they do on that.

Haha fuck those British and Norwegian runners and their trash talking about the 1500 meters. They were too worried about each other and the American snuck in and took it.

Can’t tell you how magic it is standing in a park you played in growing up and it’s a severely disadvantaged area and always had been, and you’re there surrounded by kids uplifted and inspired to see someone from your community you can see any day of the week just saying hello walking past you. And what it does for them.
And then she goes and and wins another gold at the Olympics :)
Against China
Gwan Kellie :)

Stuff life this is magic.

Just saw this on the prime time replay. This was great. And a bronze for USA as well
