Sounds promising however I would've kept quiet if I were this guy.

If this stuff does end up circulating, they'll know exactly where it came from.

Yep, if you get your hands on this you shut up about it, post it online anonymously, and then join the masses in shocked amazement.

I'm not very good at this sort of thing, but is the I've Got a Feeling from the RSD release different than the Ten Rough Mixes?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

No. There is only one mix and it wasn't included in the rough mixes. It was officially released on the "Alive" promo (which the RSD thing is a replica of) before "Ten" even came out and it hasn't changed since.

What demos are you talking about?

Any filesets labelled "Vitalogy Demos" or whatever are going to be poor quality copies of the finished album, taken from advance cassettes and personal dubs. They are not demos, and basically worthless unless you want to hear Eddie fart before a song starts. This happened frequently in the 90's, such as with Nirvana's "In Utero", but the Nirvana fans were smart enough to pull that shit out of circulation 20 years ago.

The material present in the "Cockage" tapes is mostly instrumental rehearsals, often just recorded with a boombox. I don't know if it would even qualify as demos. It certainly isn't the kind of thing I would listen to more than once.

Ah, I didn't realize that.

I'm assuming these are the same ones Stip listed. There are no circulating demos for those songs.

And I seem to recall that they are not "rough" mixes either, but the same mixes as the finished album in poor quality.

Is there a listing of which instruments were used for each studio album track?

I'm new obviously and appreciate any help from the fellow faithful. I went into listen to the old AOL sessions that was released around Avocado - had it previously saved in a poor quality version and found it with a search for a FLAC version- I noted immediately my lineup had both Garden, Once and Severed- but as I kept looking I realize this must be wrong as none of these tracks shows in on any AOL session I'm now seeing. The Garden version is one that starts with the (4 heavy) chords played in succession 4 times then the familiar Stone Garden riff. Feel like they played it that way on that tour as well. The one I'm referencing in my catalog is 3:45 long.

Anyone know how I f'ed this up and for this long thought it was on the AOL sessions? Back in those days I was desperate to get anything I could that was not freely gotten. What could those three tracks be from otherwise? I vividly also remember in one of the interview tracks they were sitting around joking and Matt makes this crack about a drummer comparing one to a really dumb gorilla? (I promise I'm not trippin) I've now listened to the AOL session a FLAC version I just found in total and theres no Once, Garden, Severed or gorilla joke. OMG is this the Mandela effect? These things have been in my head as truth since 2006.

Sorry for the nebulousness- I've been at collecting for decades and this has me stumped.

Thanks for letting me ramble.

Not that I’ve ever heard. The argument for years it was different drums but that’s clearly not the case.
