I suggest a game: Why don´t we all make our own versions of Future Days and post it here? Wether you make some kind of remix, play with the instrumentalization, tweak the velocities, play with the backwards thing, whatever. But keep it serious, let be fanboys again.

You know what the infuriating part of this exercise is? You realize that at the core this is a pretty good song and they just completely fucked it up.

Try and sometimes you'll succeed
To make this meh of me.

This song is probably going to win me over eventually. Question is, shall I fight it, or just give up and let it fuck me?

Okay, while there are some things about the song I don't like, I'm now prepared to say I flat out really like Future Days. It's not a great song, but it scratches a schmaltzy itch in a way that doesn't leave me feeling embarrassed about myself.

I'd probably put it ahead of inside job, around the bend, and all or none as far as closers go.

around the bend is a song I've come around on a bit. KD and a few others made a pretty strong case for it. I can now appreciate its charms, but I don't seek it out. A song I respect more than I enjoy (see SoH). I'd probably enjoy All or None more on a different record. Good solo at the end, and a pretty hopeless mood to the song, but enough is enough by the end of that album.

All or None is a top 10 track for me but only recently (well last 5 yrs). It's too much if you wade through the previous 4-5 tracks.
